Rigden: Quite right. But let’s go back to the ancient symbol of the human being — an<br />

equilateral cross with a circle in the middle. The cross lines conventionally represent the<br />

four human Aspects: the lateral Aspects (the horizontal lines coming from the centre),<br />

the Rear aspect (the vertical line going down from the centre) and the Front aspect<br />

(the vertical line going up from the centre). Like I’ve already said, in associative<br />

comparisons the characteristics of these Aspects were allotted to certain forces in the<br />

space, such as the four elements, the four seasonal winds or the four cardinal points. At<br />

that, the three forces were usually interrelated with each other or had negative<br />

characteristics of the rear and lateral Aspects, whereas the forth one was the principal,<br />

very special <strong>by</strong> its features and possessed positive characteristics of the Front aspect. All<br />

these forces were also marked with a cross — the sacral symbol of the human being as a<br />

creature in the structure of which the spirit and the mater were combined. The cross<br />

vertical line was associated with the solstice, the movement towards the spiritual world,<br />

with the human aspiration for the Spiritual nature supremacy. Therefore, in religious<br />

traditions of ancient peoples of the world, a solar disc was often depicted on heads of<br />

holy gods to symbolize the Spiritual nature supremacy and the Knowledge introduced<br />

from the Spiritual world. The horizontal line indicating the lateral Aspects was<br />

allegorically called the equinoctial axis and associated with the Sun movement (when<br />
