Of course, in the past people didn’t know such details about the connection between the
human energy structure and physical structures of the brain. Nevertheless, those who
practiced this meditation in earlier times could perform it just as successfully. Ancient
people simply imagined that at this stage of the meditation “the wind breath” passed first
through the centre of the head, then – through its external points to specific places in
space, owing to which certain actions took place there. For example, in Old Russian
spiritual practices this process was presented as spinning of a vortex, as a contact with
lords of the four winds who were endowed with properties of the four seasons: winter,
summer, autumn and spring (the latter endowed with the Front aspect features was
honoured the most by ancient Slavs).
Anastasia: By saying this, do you mean that a person does not have to know the
cerebrum structure thoroughly in order to perform this meditation well?
Rigden: Yes, but for the overall intellectual evolution this knowledge is quite useful…
Afterwards, the experience of this meditation performance may simply be applied in
everyday life by inner observation of the initial processes of generation of negative
thoughts and emotions. As a result, it will be possible to prevent undesirable extension
of such thoughts and emotions in time. Eventually, such self-improvement process
becomes a habit, just like walking, for instance. After all, man first learns to keep
balance, later – to move his legs, and then the walking process turns into a daily habit.
Eventually, man does not even pay attention to how he moves in space. He simply uses
the finished result of his earlier effort for fulfilling certain everyday tasks. The same
situation is with this meditation practicing. Controlling generation or surge of his or her
emotional states, a person preserves his or her attention and vital energy unspent for the
fulfillment of more significant spiritual tasks. Whereas, without such permanent control,
he or she unconsciously wastes the energy on programs and will of the Animal mind,
letting negative thoughts and emotions predominate in his or her consciousness.
So, let’s describe how the internal work with the Right aspect centre takes place. In
his everyday life, man usually does not notice how either of his Aspects gets activated,
but he feels the result of such activation very well. Once the lateral Aspects start
operating, man’s mood may suddenly change without any obvious reasons. Man
