<strong>Anastasia</strong>: It should be mentioned that people who perform this meditation for the first<br />

time often make the following mistakes. Knowing what kind of unpleasant emotions is<br />

expected to be manifested (and people are usually aware of “skeletons hidden in their<br />

closets”), at the first stages of mastering this meditation they tend to block themselves<br />

from such emotions consciously or unconsciously. As a result, upon their first attempts<br />

of the meditation performance, people feel nearly nothing, or slight warmth or cold from<br />

the rotating sphere centres at the best.<br />

Rigden: That’s true. When a person understands that he or she is about to experience an<br />

unpleasant state, he or she can unconsciously block manifestation of such feelings. The<br />

Animal nature does not like to lose its key grounds. A meditator should be aware of this<br />

and endeavour to perform the meditation as diligently as possible, and not to engage<br />

himself or herself in idle pastime, lulling his or her vigilance with thinking that he or she<br />

“is probably such a good and highly spiritual individual that nothing negative happens<br />

within”.<br />

This meditation is performed in order for a person to really feel the emotional surges<br />

generated <strong>by</strong> each of the Aspects, physically and psychologically. Therefore, a person<br />

would learn to discern the very moment of the beginning of the Animal nature’s attack,<br />

of the conception of such emotional surges, the influence and manifestation thereof in<br />

everyday life. He or she would start understanding “where the root of all evil” and all<br />

sudden negative states appear from. A person would also learn to detect, to identify this<br />

state within himself or herself and, the main thing, to control, to prevent such attacks,<br />

and not to admit continuation and aggravation of the situation. And, if during this<br />

meditation practicing, instead of really working on his or her self-improvement, a person<br />

would be lazy or simply find comfort in the illusion of his or her megalomania, he or she<br />

would have major difficulties in daily life, because the Animal nature would be fully<br />

using its entire hidden arsenal of tricks, while the person would have no idea of how to<br />

resist it.<br />

In such cases many people attribute all these attacks to external circumstance or to other<br />

people, thus only intensifying their Animal nature’s uncontrolled activities. However, as<br />

the time passes, new people and new circumstances come into their lives, while the<br />
