Eternity, on the other hand.
In Daoism religion, just like in Buddhist religion, a follower is charged to engage in
radical transformation of his or her body and consciousness and to use meditations as a
learning tool. Daoism also emphasizes that, owing to such transformation on the way to
the “immortality” achievement, according to their religious teaching, man acquires
supernatural powers and abilities. For example, he can become invisible, travel in space,
appear simultaneously in several places, compress time, etc.
Yet, I’d like to state the following with respect to the matter. Indeed, in many religious
concepts there are records that a follower, going along the proposed religious road, can
eventually learn to possess certain supernatural abilities. This attracts many people
exactly on the Animal nature side, rather than on the side of spiritual grains. And this is
a very deplorable fact that many people spend their lives trying to achieve such a goal
(acquiring supernatural abilities), wasting their energy for nothing, because possession
of supernatural abilities is far from being a peak of perfection. There is an ancient
wisdom: “When man does not know God in his soul, he is ready to believe in
anything”.
Acquisition of any supernatural abilities does not entail achievement of spiritual
liberation. Such abilities may be possessed, for instance, by people engaged in black art,
i.e. those who are conductors of the Animal mind. But what is the result? Becoming a
subpersonality and experiencing further greater sufferings? Such people will surely be
doubly responsible for everything they do, both in the visible and invisible worlds.
Development of preternatural abilities is justified only when man himself does not pay
any intent attention to this process, when he is focused on his spiritual way and spiritual
liberation, and moreover when he undertakes, say, to perform the duties of “the warrior
of light” from the Spiritual world side. However, this path is only for a few, whereas
most of people should not focus on possessing any super abilities. The main thing for
people in their lives is to concentrate their attention and energy on spiritual liberation,
i.e. on spiritual self-improvement each day of their lives. This is the main point! Don’t
try to prove to other people that you are better than others, but rather try to prove to God
that you deserve being accepted to the spiritual world, that your Personality as a mature
