A-C AIRPORT COMMERCIAL ZONE<br />

29.18.050 Building Height.<br />

29.18.131 Development Potential.<br />

The following regulations shall apply in the A-C Zone unless otherwise provided in this ordinance. (Ord. 3690,<br />

1974.)<br />

29.18.005 Legislative Intent.<br />

This zone classification is designed to provide for recreational uses, general <strong>of</strong>fices, automotive related commerce,<br />

certain other retail uses, and other similar places <strong>of</strong> employment characterized by a low intensity <strong>of</strong> operations.<br />

General retail commerce is excluded because these uses are adequately provided for in Old Town Goleta. (Ord. 5025,<br />

1997; Ord. 3690, 1974.)<br />

29.18.030 Uses Permitted.<br />

The following uses are expressly permitted in the A-C Zone:<br />

A. Auto diagnostic center.<br />

B. Automobile tire installation and repair conducted entirely within a building.<br />

C. Branch bank or savings and loan, subject to the issuance <strong>of</strong> a Conditional Use Permit under Chapter 29.92 <strong>of</strong><br />

this Title.<br />

D. Commercial recreation.<br />

E. Indoor theater.<br />

F. Motorcycles and bicycles and accessories sales and repair.<br />

G. Photographic shop including photographic developing.<br />

H. Printing, lithographing, photocopying or publishing establishment.<br />

I. Restaurant.<br />

J. Other uses determined to be appropriate by the Planning Commission. (Ord. 5025, 1997; Ord. 4269, 1984;<br />

Ord. 3690, 1974.)<br />

29.18.040 Performance Standards.<br />

A. VIBRATION. No equipment, machinery or facility in such establishment shall be operated so as to produce<br />

or generate vibration which is perceptible without the aid <strong>of</strong> instruments, to a person <strong>of</strong> ordinary, normal sensibilities,<br />

at or beyond the boundary or leasehold line <strong>of</strong> the premises.<br />

B. ODOR. No establishment shall be operated in a manner resulting in the emission <strong>of</strong> odors to an extent or<br />

degree permitting such odor to be detectable at or beyond the boundary or leasehold line <strong>of</strong> the premises.<br />

C. ACCESSORY OUTDOOR STORAGE. There shall be no outdoor storage permitted, whether permanent or<br />

temporary. For the purpose <strong>of</strong> this Section, a storage tank, bin or other container placed outside shall be construed as<br />

constituting outside storage <strong>of</strong> the contents <strong>of</strong> such container. Trash containers may be stored outside if screened<br />

29.18.050 Building Height.<br />

Building height shall be established as defined in Section 29.87.050 <strong>of</strong> this Title. (Ord. 5025, 1997; Ord. 3690,<br />

1974.)<br />

29.18.060 Front Yards.<br />

The front setback shall be established as defined in Section 29.87.055 <strong>of</strong> this Title. (Ord. 5459, 2008; Ord. 5025,<br />

1997; Ord. 3690, 1974.)<br />

29.18.100 Off-street Parking.<br />

Off-street parking and loading space shall be provided as set forth in Chapter 29.90. (Ord. 3690, 1974.)<br />
