REVENUE BONDS<br />

4.40.010 Issuance <strong>of</strong> Revenue Bonds.<br />

The <strong>City</strong> Council may issue and sell bonds which are payable only and solely out <strong>of</strong> such revenues, other than<br />

taxes, as may be specified in such bonds and produced or contributed to by the improvement financed by the bonds.<br />

4.40.020 Procedure.<br />

The provisions <strong>of</strong> the Revenue Bond Law <strong>of</strong> 1941, being Chapter 6, commencing with Section 54300, Part 1,<br />

Division 2, Title 5, <strong>of</strong> the Government <strong>Code</strong> <strong>of</strong> the State <strong>of</strong> California, as now or hereafter amended, shall apply, as<br />

shall any other provision <strong>of</strong> California Law, now or hereafter existing, which is applicable, or may be applied, to<br />

bonds issued or to be issued under the Law. No such bonds shall be issued without the assent <strong>of</strong> a majority <strong>of</strong> the<br />

voters voting upon the proposition for issuing the same at an election at which such proposition shall have been duly<br />

submitted to the qualified electors <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong>, in accordance with Section 1210 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Barbara</strong> <strong>City</strong> Charter and<br />

the Revenue Bond Law <strong>of</strong> 1941. (Ord. 4839, 1993; Ord. 3545 §1(part), 1972.)<br />
