This chapter shall be known as the "Employee Benefits Ordinance <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Barbara</strong>". (Ord. 3655 §1,<br />

1974.)<br />

3.08.020 Definitions.<br />

(1) "Regular Salary or Wage" means all compensation provided an employee in accordance with the <strong>City</strong>'s<br />

current Salary Resolution, and Sections 3.04.220 and 3.04.250 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Municipal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>.<br />

(2) "Overtime Work" means work in excess <strong>of</strong> the work week provided in §3.08.030.<br />

(3) "Management Employees" means <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficers, department heads, and other employees designated as<br />

management employees by the <strong>City</strong> Administrator pursuant to §3.04.230(a).<br />

(4) "General Employees" means those full-time probationary and regular employees <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> in the<br />

constituent job classifications <strong>of</strong> the "general employees bargaining unit" as such unit is recognized by the <strong>City</strong><br />

Administrator pursuant to §3.12.090 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Municipal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>.<br />

(5) "Police Department Employee" means those full-time probationary and regular employees in the constituent<br />

job classifications <strong>of</strong> the "Police Employees Bargaining Unit" as such unit is recognized by the <strong>City</strong> Administrator<br />

pursuant to §3.12.090 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Municipal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>.<br />

(6) "Fire Department Employees" means those full-time probationary and regular employees in the constituent<br />

job classifications <strong>of</strong> the "Fire Employees Bargaining Unit" as such unit is recognized by the <strong>City</strong> Administrator<br />

pursuant to §3.12.090 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Municipal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>. (Ord. 3655 §1, 1974.)<br />
