10.40.100 Throwing Articles on Streets.<br />

No person shall throw or permit to be dropped on to any street, sidewalk or parkway, from any vehicle, any paper,<br />

refuse, dirt, gravel, sand, glass, crockery, tin cans, nails or other sharp metal objects. (Ord. 2713 §1(part), 1959; prior<br />

<strong>Code</strong> §31.107.)<br />

10.40.110 Obedience to Signs and Barriers.<br />

The driver <strong>of</strong> any vehicle, and the person in charge <strong>of</strong> any animal, shall obey the instructions <strong>of</strong> any barrier or sign<br />

erected by any <strong>of</strong> the public departments <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong>, or by any other person pursuant to law. (Ord. 2713 §1(part),<br />

1959; prior <strong>Code</strong> §31.108.)<br />

10.40.130 Solicitation for Sight-seeing Vehicles.<br />

No person shall use or occupy any part <strong>of</strong> a public street or sidewalk for the purpose <strong>of</strong> soliciting patronage or<br />

customers for any motor vehicle which is run, driven or operated over the public streets <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> for the purpose <strong>of</strong><br />

sight-seeing or showing points <strong>of</strong> interest, or conveying persons to points within or without the <strong>City</strong> to show or<br />

exhibit lands or houses or other property or interests in property, real or personal, for the purpose <strong>of</strong> effecting, or<br />

attempting to effect, the sale <strong>of</strong> any such lands or houses or <strong>of</strong> any other property.<br />

This section shall not prohibit the stopping or standing <strong>of</strong> sight-seeing buses for loading and unloading <strong>of</strong><br />

passengers at points <strong>of</strong> interest on regular tours. (Ord. 2713 §1(part), 1959; prior <strong>Code</strong> §31.110.)<br />

10.40.140 Submitting Notification.<br />

All automobile dismantlers shall submit to the Police Department a copy <strong>of</strong> each notification required to be<br />

submitted to the California Department <strong>of</strong> Motor Vehicles pursuant to Section 11520 <strong>of</strong> the California Vehicle <strong>Code</strong>.<br />

Such notification shall be submitted within twenty-four (24) hours <strong>of</strong> obtaining actual possession <strong>of</strong> the vehicle.<br />
