REVENUE DEPOSIT :-<br />

(A)<br />

General Process:-<br />

• All Revenue Deposits classified in S.R. 546 MPTC Vol-I<br />

are paid into treasury through challans. Challans received<br />

with the bank scroll is sorted out major head wise and is<br />

recorded in the register of receipts to be maintained in<br />

MPTC-64.<br />

• All entries should be numbered. There will be separate<br />

series of numbers for each class of deposit, beginning from<br />

1 each year. Every item must be recorded in the name of<br />

the person through whom it is received.<br />

• No money is allowed to be deposited as revenue deposit<br />

unless it is covered by Statutory Provision or any general<br />

or specific order of the Government.<br />

• Refund of Revenue is entertained on receipt of demand<br />

from the person entitled to them after production of due<br />

authority. In case of deposits made through department<br />

officer, the refundee should put his demand through the<br />

departmental officer.<br />

• The dealing assistant verifies the Refund order with the<br />

entry in the Register of Receipts if the balance is sufficient<br />

payment is made by the Treasury Officer.<br />

• Each Refund is entered in Register of Repayments<br />

maintained in from MPTC-65. Simultaneously a note is<br />

made against the original credit.<br />
