Department also works as nodal department for monitoring of draft para of<br />

Public Account committee and Controller and Auditor General. Finance<br />

Department releases the Budget to various dept, strictly in conformity with<br />

the financial position of the state exchequer. Director Budget has a Pivotal<br />

role in exercise of these regulatory functions.<br />

After release of the Budget it is allocated to various Head of<br />

Departments, Budget Controlling officers and ultimately to drawing<br />

officers. The role of Directorate, Treasuries and Accounts is very<br />

significant. Seven Divisional Offices, 50 District Treasuries, 162 Sub<br />

Treasuries and 07 Accounts Training Schools operate under the<br />

Administrative control of the Directorate. The basic responsibility of the<br />

Directorate is to ensure financial discipline in conformity with policies<br />

framed & instructions issued by Finance Department from time to time and<br />

preparation of Monthly Accounts to be submitted to AGMP. The<br />

Directorate's Administrative set up may be explained in the following<br />
