Purple 5 1 2 3 4 5 Upside-down houses All the houses in my street look the same. The roofs are straight and point to the sky. The walls, windows and doors are straight. The fences stand in straight lines. Even the garages and letterboxes have straight lines! Wouldn’t it be better if some houses were different! Imagine a house with the roof on the bottom. Imagine the floor on the top. A curvy letterbox could sit on top of the floor. The front door could be at the back. There could be lots of curvy lines and circles. These houses would not look like other houses at all. They would be very different. I think upside-down houses would be the best houses of all! What if you lived in a two-storey house and it was upside down? You would have to walk up the stairs to go down, and go down the stairs to go up! When you wanted to slide down the railing, you would have to pull yourself up! That wouldn’t be much fun at all! ©R.I.C. Publications Low Resolution Images Display Copy What if you slept in bunk beds? You would have to climb down from the top bunk to the bottom bunk to climb up on top! You would have to climb up onto the top bunk to get down to the bottom bunk! Perhaps upside-down houses would not be that much fun after all.
