Orange 10 Dolphin daze 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 At the beach one day, I was having lunch with my family. I was just about to eat my sandwich when a bird took it and flew off! ‘Hey!’ I yelled. ‘Come back with my lunch!’ I got up and ran after the bird. I was looking up, so I didn’t see the big wave coming. Crash! It took me into the water. Under I went. Round and round I went. When I finally came up, I was far from the shore. I tried to swim back, but I wasn’t getting very far. I needed help! Then in the water next to me I saw a fin. Oh, no! A shark! I was going to be a shark’s lunch! A long grey nose popped up next to me. I saw a smile and a friendly eye. It was a dolphin! Then the eye winked at me. And in my head I heard, ‘Hold onto my fin. I’ll help you’. Was the dolphin talking to me? I wasn’t sure, but I held onto its fin. It took me back to shore. When I felt sand under my feet, I stood up. ‘Thanks!’ I said to the dolphin. It winked again and swam away. I found my family and told them what had happened. ‘Sure, darling.
