Have you ever seen
raisins wriggle as
if they were doing
a dance? If you
read the instructions
below, you will see
how to make it
happen!
What to do:
Step 1.
Fill the glass with
the fizzy drink.
Step 3.
After a while,
the gas bubbles
from the fizzy
drink will stick to
the wrinkles on
the raisins. The
raisins will start
to ‘wriggle’ and
rise to the top of
the glass.
Step 2.
Drop the raisins
into the glass.
They will sink to
the bottom.
You will need:
• a glass
• a bottle of clear,
fizzy drink
• 6 to 8 raisins
Step 4.
As the gas bubbles
‘pop’, the raisins
will wriggle back
down to the
bottom of the
glass. After a while,
they will come to
the top again, as if
they are dancing
up and down!

The raisins will keep wriggling up and down until the fizzy drink goes flat
and there aren’t any gas bubbles left to make them go to the top.
