RVCC students transferring to USNH schools choose Nursing (21%), Business (14%), and
Psychology (10%) for their Bachelor’s Degree (Figure 8.3). RVCC students had a 1-year
retention rate between Fall 2015 and Fall 2016 (most current data available) of 78% and
an overall 6-year graduation rate (entering Fall 2016 with degree by Fall 2016), of 36%.

Programmatic outcomes are supported by each course in the curriculum plan, and
curriculum plans are designed to ensure students are progressing towards achievement of
programmatic outcomes. Each course has a course outline, described in Standard Four,
which identifies the outcomes for that particular course. Course objectives for each course
are written in measureable terms and are assessed by the Curriculum Committee to assure
that course objectives are appropriate for the course level. Most courses at RVCC have
outcomes that are written based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and the Curriculum Committee
evaluates each program to ensure that objectives in early level courses are based on lower
