8.4 Requirements for Specific Transaction Types<br />

a. MCC 7941—Athletic Fields, Commercial Sports, Professional Sports<br />

Clubs, Sports Promoters<br />

b. MCC 7929—Bands, Orchestras, and Miscellaneous Entertainers not<br />

elsewhere classified<br />

7. Merchants located in Poland that use MCC 5994—News Dealers and<br />

Newsstands.<br />

POS Terminals that utilize only the <strong>MasterCard</strong> PayPass contactless payment<br />

functionality at Merchants using the following MCCs are not required to provide<br />

a Transaction receipt at the time the Transaction is conducted; however, the<br />

Merchant must have a means by which to provide a receipt to the Cardholder<br />

upon request. If such means involves the storage, transmission, or processing<br />

of Card data, then it must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security<br />

Standard (PCI DSS). The manner in which to request a receipt must be clearly<br />

displayed at the Merchant location.<br />

• MCC 4111—Transportation—Suburban and Local Commuter, Passenger,<br />

including Ferries<br />

• MCC 4112—Passenger Railways<br />

• MCC 4131—Bus Lines<br />

• MCC 4789—Transportation Services—not elsewhere classified<br />

• MCC 7523—Automobile Parking Lots and Garages<br />

POS Terminals that utilize only the <strong>MasterCard</strong> PayPass contactless payment<br />

functionality at Merchants using the following MCCs are not required to provide<br />

8.4.4.3 <strong>MasterCard</strong> PayPass-M/Chip Transaction Offline<br />

Authorization Limit Amounts<br />

If a <strong>MasterCard</strong> PayPass-M/Chip Transaction occurs at a Merchant using an<br />

MCC listed below and located in Australia, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, New<br />

Zealand, or Singapore, and the Transaction exceeds the applicable offline<br />

authorization limit amount, the Transaction must be authorized online by the<br />

Issuer. If the Transaction amount is equal to or less than the applicable offline<br />

authorization limit amount, the Transaction may be authorized offline by the<br />

EMV chip.<br />
