3.9 Additional Customer Obligations<br />

7. For Debit <strong>MasterCard</strong> BusinessCard Card and Debit <strong>MasterCard</strong> Professional<br />

Card Programs, the accumulative Limit(s) may be set below the<br />

Corporation’s default values as follows.<br />

In the event that fraudulent activity is detected with respect to a BIN or BIN<br />

range, the Corporation, in its sole discretion and judgment, may take such<br />

action as the Corporation deems necessary or appropriate to safeguard the<br />

goodwill and reputation of the Corporation’s Marks. Such action may include,<br />

by way of example and not limitation, declining some or all Transaction<br />

authorization requests received by the Stand-in Processing Service relating to<br />

the use of Cards issued under such BIN or BIN range.<br />

3.9 Additional Customer Obligations<br />

3.9.4 Integrity of Brand and Network<br />

Rule 3.9.4 of Chapter 3, “Customer Obligations,” is modified to include the<br />

following:<br />

Pursuant to this Rule, with respect to any potentially illegal Internet gambling<br />

Transaction attempted on or after 1 June 2010, the Issuer of the Card must<br />

either employ a method of systemic Transaction blocking or decline all such<br />

Transaction authorization requests on an individual basis.<br />

An Internet gambling Transaction that may be potentially illegal when involving<br />

a U.S. region Cardholder is any Transaction that the Acquirer has identified in<br />

the authorization request message as both:<br />

a. a gambling Transaction, by the use of MCC 7995 in DE 18 (Merchant Type),<br />

and<br />

b. an e-commerce Transaction, by the use of a value of 6 (electronic<br />

commerce Transaction) in DE 61 (Point of Service [POS] Data), subfield 10<br />

(Cardholder-Activated Terminal Level Indicator).<br />
