3.13 Account Access<br />

a. to Cards issued to an entity other than a natural person or primarily for<br />

business, commercial, or agricultural purposes, except that the Rule<br />

shall apply to the Card Programs for small businesses described on<br />

www.mastercardbusiness.com; or<br />

b. if a PIN is used as the Cardholder verification method for unauthorized<br />

Transaction(s); or<br />

c. to any Card issued or sold to a person until such time as that person’s<br />

identity is registered by or on behalf of the Issuer in connection with<br />

the issuance and/or use of such Card, which registration may include<br />

appropriate customer identification program requirements.<br />

3.13 Account Access >><br />

A credit Card that also provides access to a debit account at the point-of-sale<br />

(POS) via personal identification number (PIN) functionality must enable that<br />

Card to process any debit PIN POS transaction as a Maestro transaction.<br />

4.1 Right to Use the Marks<br />

4.1.2 Protection and Registration of the Marks<br />

Rule 4.1.2 of Chapter 4, “Trademarks and Service Marks” is modified to include<br />

the following:<br />

No use of a Mark may be made on or in connection with any card, device or<br />

other application associated with a payment service that the Corporation deems<br />

to be competitive with any Activity except as set forth in this chapter.<br />

4.2 General <strong>Rules</strong> for Use of the Marks<br />

4.2.6.6 Use on Cards >><br />

Rule 4.2.6.6 of Chapter 4, “Trademarks and Service Marks,” is modified to<br />

include the following:<br />

An additional <strong>MasterCard</strong> Brand Mark must be present on the back of a credit<br />

Card if another debit PIN POS mark also is present on the Card back.<br />

4.2.12 Use of a Competing Mark on Cards<br />

Rule 4.2.12 of Chapter 4, “Trademarks and Service Marks,” is modified to<br />

include the following:<br />

A competing debit point-of-sale mark may appear on a debit Card as set forth<br />

in the Card Design Standards or as otherwise agreed to by the Corporation.<br />
