8.8 Use of Automatic Billing Updater
8.4.11.1 MoneySend Payment Transaction Requirements
Effective 19 April 2013, the following requirements apply to Issuers in Italy:
1. An Issuer must support, process, and provide a valid authorization response
to each Payment Transaction authorization request received, for all prepaid
MasterCard, Debit MasterCard (including prepaid), and MasterCard charge
Card Programs (revolving credit Card Programs are excluded); and
2. Except with respect to nonreloadable prepaid Cards, an Issuer must not
automatically decline Payment Transactions.
3. An Issuer located in any of the countries listed below must make the >>
transferred funds available to the Cardholder promptly upon approval of
the authorization request and in the amount indicated in DE 4 (Amount,
Transaction) when the Transaction currency matches the currency of the
Cardholder’s Card account. >>

8.8 Use of Automatic Billing Updater
The following Rule applies in the Republic of Ireland.
Each Customer located in the Republic of Ireland must use the Automatic
Billing Updater for all Cards issued in the Republic of Ireland, excluding
non-reloadable prepaid Cards in the BIN range of 539366 to 539585, as follows.
Information about ABU may be found on MasterCard Connect in the Payment
Programs product under Automatic Billing Updater.
8.8.1 ABU Support by Acquirers
Acquirers must be capable of sending, receiving and processing ABU data, and
must ensure that the acquiring host processing system used by the Acquirer
incorporates ABU functionality.
