8.4.5 Purchase With Cash Back Transactions

Section 12a—Europe Region Debit-related Rules
Debit MasterCard Issuers must technically support purchase with cash back
Transactions. They must make individual authorization decisions and must not
automatically decline authorization of purchase with cash back Transactions.
The following requirements do not apply to Debit MasterCard purchase with
cash back Transactions that take place in Norway or Sweden until 1 January
2013:
1. The Transaction must be identified with a value of 09 (purchase with cash
back) in DE 3 (Processing Code), subfield 1 (Cardholder Transaction Type);
and
2. The cash back amount must be transmitted in DE 54 (Amounts, Additional).
