realtà, e quali progetti interiormente io medito. Ve<br />
lo dirò fra poco.<br />
(ai pastori)<br />
Sta bene, amici miei… Lasciatemi… Di bucoliche<br />
ho pieno il cuore… lasciatemi…<br />

(al pubblico)<br />
Figuratevi… ancora un po’ di pazienza… e se<br />
l’idea che io ho insufflato in Orfeo riesce, io credo<br />
che oggi metteremo a segno un grande colpo! Ecco<br />
la tenere Euridice. Non abbiamo l’aria di essere<br />
passati per il frumento.<br />

EURIDICE<br />
(rientrando a sinistra)<br />
Impossibile incontrarlo. Ah! Eccolo!… arrivo a<br />
tempo! Che tu sia benedetto, o Vulcano!… Aristeo…<br />
mio bel pastore! Sta attento!<br />
ARISTEO<br />
A che cosa?<br />
EURIDICE<br />
A te,<br />
ARISTEO<br />
A me?… perché?<br />
EURIDICE<br />
Taci… e parla a bassa voce!<br />
ARISTEO<br />
Intendiamoci!… Io vado…<br />

Voilà!<br />
Voilà ce que je dis pour inspirer de la confiance!<br />
Oui, je chante les petits moutons. Mais si vous<br />
saviez qui je suis en réalité, et quels projets infern<strong>aux</strong><br />
je médite! Je vous dirai cela tout à l’heure.<br />
C’est bien, mes ami… Laissez-moi… J’ai des<br />
bucoliques plein de cœur… Laissez-moi.<br />
ARISTÉE<br />
Figurez-vous… encore un peu de patience… et si<br />
l’idée que j’ai soufflée à <strong>Orphée</strong> réussit, je crois<br />
que c’est aujourd’hui que nous frapperons un<br />
grand coup! Voici la tendre Eurydice. N’ayons pas<br />
l’air d’avoir passé dans les blés.<br />

Impossible de le rencontrer. Ah! le voici!… J’arrive<br />
à temps! Sois béni, ô Vulcain!… Aristée…<br />
mon beau berger! Prends garde!<br />
