Para este efeito, foram considerados os profissionais certificados para o exercício daprofissão de Técnicos Superiores de Higiene e Segurança do Trabalho (TSHST), com dois perfis deformação: (1) Licenciatura em Ergonomia (LE) e (2) Pós-Graduação em Higiene e Segurança do Trabalho(PGHST). Utilizaram-se três métodos: focus group com um painel de peritos (n=6), entrevistas aergonomistas (n=7) e aplicação de um questionário a ambos os grupos profissionais (n=63). Osresultados sugerem necessidades semelhantes à excepção do elemento “doenças causadas pelo ruído”,mais valorizado pelos TSHST com formação adquirida por via de PGHST. As necessidades relatadascomo mais importantes foram: identificação de perigos (79,4% afirmaram "muito importante") e avaliaçãode factores de risco biomecânicos (77,8% mencionaram "muito importante"). A necessidade de umsoftware na área da promoção da SST foi confirmada. PortugueseOHS with two different educational backgrounds were considered: (1) Ergonomics & Human Factors (2)Occupational Hygiene and Safety. Three methods were used: focus group with a panel of experts (n = 6),interviews to ergonomists (n = 7) and a questionnaire, filled in by both professional groups (n = 63). Theresults suggest similar needs except for the element "diseases caused by noise exposure," most valued byprofessionals with Occupational Hygiene and Safety educational background. The needs reported as mostimportant were: identification of hazards (79.4% reported as "very important") and assessment ofbiomechanical risk factors (77.8% reported as "very important"). The need for specific software in thedomain of OSH has been confirmed. Pretendemos, com a elaboração deste processo formativo, o desenvolvimento nosoperadores de competências de auto-análise e auto-aprendizagem da sua actividade de trabalho paraque possam, também, ser actores de segurança na sua situação de trabalho. Esta linha de formação foidesenvolvida de modo a que “permitisse abordar os problemas relacionados com a HSST de uma formaintegrada e em estreita relação com as actividades de trabalho em questão” [1]. Através da análise daactividade e dos registos dos acidentes de trabalho no sector do saneamento, identificámos dois grandestemas que constituíram objecto de formação: (1) trabalho em espaço confinado [2]; e (2) postura detrabalho adoptada e movimentação manual de carga. Arquitectamos o processo formativo segundo ummodelo de alternância entre sessões teóricas expositivas, sessões de auto analise apoiadas durante otrabalho e sessões de análise e discussão colectiva (em torno de situações-problema, recorrendo àanálise de registos vídeo da actividade de trabalho com vista à realização de balanço). O processoformativo culminou com a formalização de propostas de melhoria das condições de trabalho. Todas aspropostas de melhoria foram apresentadas, debatidos e negociadas colectivamente com o superiorhierárquico, com a direcção e a administração.Palavras-chave: formação, análise do trabalho, saber-fazer de prudência, saneamentoTRAINING IN WORK CONTEXT OF A GROUP OF OPERATORSIN THE SANITATION SECTOR OFABSTRACTThe present study wishes to examine the importance of contextualized training in the acquisition of safetybehaviours of a group of operators in the sanitation area of a Municipalized Department. With this trainingprocess we intend to develop the operators‟ skills on self-analysis and self-learning of their work activity sothey can also be players in the safety of their work environment.This training method was developed so that it "allows addressing the problems related to OHS in anintegrated manner and with very close connections to the activities of the specific mentioned workactivities".Through the activity analysis and work accidents reports in the area of sanitation, two major themes wereidentified that were also used in the developed training: (1) work in a confined space and (2) workingposture adopted and manual cargo handling. The training process was designed based on a model ofalternating between theoretical expositive sessions and sessions of self-analysis, supported during work,and sessions of collective analysis and discussion (about problem-situations, using work activity videoanalysis for taking stock of the situation). The training process ended with the formalization of proposals forimproving working conditions.
