Abdirashid A Isaack: My names are Abdirashid Abdul Isaack I am a teacher and I am one of the disabled people in this
district and I fully represent them and the problems that we have here the disabled is alarming. We are forgotten community
even (inaudible)----- do not cater the needs of this disabled people they are not taken to school. So we have got a lot of
problems because the children of the disabled are not even allowed to go and get education. We have no access to education.
The other problem we have here is that, there is no facility that could help the disabled. Even when walking there is no wheel
chair, there is no crutches for the disabled. Even our local leaders even do not assist us in providing these facilities. leave even
the government I could stress on here again that we could have had a national census for the disabled that to we know the
number of the disabled in the whole country and I hope this. The problems of the disabled will be increasing as even the
population will be increasing because we can be having no disabled people every day because of accidents and many other
things. Also we could have (inaudible)-------- for this disabled the few who are learned even could not get employment. We
could have some centers here in this province for vocational training for this disabled.
The fourth one we could request that the disabled at least to be given some share in the national budget so that at least those
facilities that we are required at least we can have. Lastly there is this issue that of the an issue that we the next of keen that get
us a lot of problem when becoming inherited. We the Somali we are polygamous we marry over twenty to ten wifes sometime
we divorce and get another one so we marry a lot of wives so when it comes to no to the inheritance the next of keen if they
had four wives or five the only wives that is (inaudible)----- is the person that has passed away right only has the right to get this
properties. Not because she is the last wife, any wife like this has a right, gave the right one to inherit. So we want atleast a
change even to the Kadhis office to deal with this matters, so that happens and he can be the person who can atleast assist us in
getting. You know the properties are shared by the children the parents and also the wife, so it happens that if one wife now
gets the money or any thing that comes out then the other wivfes and their children will be eating nothing so atleast we want now
to have a change. Thank you very much.
