We have designed our Executive M.B.L.-HSG
to allow you enough time for your career and
your family during the 18 months of the course.
It is important to us that your work will not be
interrupted while you are attending the course.

after graduation you will be part of a social professional

international Executive M.B.L.-HSG Alumni
Association with over 300 members. Your

Association, whose over 19,000 members make

Objective
The Executive M.B.L.-HSG is an 18-month
program equipping practitioners with a solid
generalist knowledge in European and international
business law. Juridification of business
makes sound knowledge of this area essential
not just for lawyers but for all executives
involved in decision making in an increasingly
global and regional economic environment.
Our primary goal is to provide you with knowledge
that you can use in your professional
working life. But the program does far more. As
a competent generalist you will be in a position
to transfer your new skills to other fields and to
move confidently into new areas of activity.
For over a decade, the Executive M.B.L.-HSG
has been a standout feature of both the executive
education program at the University of
St.Gallen and the executive legal education
landscape in Europe. We put our extensive
experience to work in designing a course of
the highest quality. In particular, our presence
on three continents is a unique element of
the course and as critical to the success of our
objectives as the personal mentoring and support
of our students. Graduates of the course
are much sought-after in the legal, business,
consulting, administrative professions and
politics.
Structure
At top-tier universities and other centers of
excellence, specialists from three continents
will share their knowledge and experience
with you. Among them are representatives of
business, the bar, and academia, judges of the
Court of Justice of the European Union and the
EFTA Court, members and staff of the European
Commission, the diplomatic corps, and the
international press. The course locations speak
for themselves: Inter alia New York University,
Fudan University (Shanghai), Waseda University
(Tokyo), the University of Texas (Austin),
Harvard Law School (Cambridge, MA), Luxembourg,
seat of the ECJ, and the University
of St.Gallen HSG. The core topics of business
law are taught to our students in nine one-week
modules. Learning takes place through discussion
with our international experts and among
the students themselves.
Our coaching concept ensures the closest
possible attention in these intensive phases of
learning and understanding. Case studies and
other individual and teamwork are an essential
part of the modules. Students prepare for
the modules using a multimedia, passwordprotected
teaching and learning platform. This
guarantees that they can complete essential
parts of their training independently of time
and place. For self-study, all relevant documentation
is supplied in advance.
