Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of The Royal Canadian Legion MacKAY, John WWII John enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England during World War II. Submitted by the Inverness Branch #132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MacKAY, Lybison WWII Lybison was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia on February 13, 1921. He joined the Armoured Corps and served with the Governor General’s Foot Guards (Tank Regiment) in Europe during World War II. He was a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald Legion Branch #132 in Inverness. Lybison died on April 9, 2011. Submitted by the Inverness Branch #132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MacKENzIE, A. L. WWI A. L. was born in Mabou, Nova Scotia. During World War I, he served as a Private in Europe with the 185 th Battalion of the Cape Britain Highlanders. Submitted by the Inverness Branch #132 of The Royal Canadian Legion. MacKENzIE, Albert “Buster” WWII Buster was born in 1921 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He joined the Canadian Army and served with the Cape Breton Highlanders at Aldershot, England where he trained, trained, and trained.
