CAMPBELL, Leonard WWII<br />

Leonard was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army during World War<br />

II and served in Europe with the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Army Service Corps. Leonard was<br />

a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

CAMPBELL, Louis WWII<br />

Louis was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He enlisted in the Army during World War<br />

II and served with the Corps of <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Engineers in Northwest Europe.<br />

Louis was a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in<br />

Inverness.<br />

CARR, John Chelsey WWII<br />

John was born on Prince Edward Island but his family later moved to Tracadie, <strong>Nova</strong><br />

<strong>Scotia</strong>. He enlisted in the Merchant Navy, later transferring to the Regular Navy and<br />

serving in the North Atlantic. Stoker Carr was wounded in 1941 when his ship was<br />

torpedoed and was wounded a second time in 1944 when his ship was sunk. There<br />

were only sixteen survivors. John returned home and married Margaret Bonvie with<br />

whom he raised two children. After the war, he lived in Tracadie and worked as a<br />

mechanic. His son is Daniel Carr of Tracadie. John has passed away and is buried<br />

in Tracadie.<br />

CAMPBELL, Neil Joseph WWII<br />

Neil was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Army<br />

Service Corps and served in the Central Mediterranean area, the United Kingdom,<br />

and Continental Europe during World War II. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star,<br />

the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, and the <strong>Canadian</strong> Volunteer Service<br />

Medal with Clasp. Neil was a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong><br />

Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />
