McLEOD, Robert W. “Bob” PEACETIME<br />
Bob was born in 1937 in Bolton, Ontario. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Navy in<br />
1954 and took his basic training at HMCS Cornwallis. He then served for 25 years<br />
as a Naval Engineer on HMCS Prestonian, Penetang, Toronto, Magnificent, Huron,<br />
Outremont, Fort Erie, Kootenay, St. Croix, Restigouche, <strong>Canadian</strong> Minesweeping<br />
Squadron, Cape Scott, Annapolis, and Margaree. He also served with the NATO<br />
Squadron before ending his career in Cornwallis. Bob has been a member of<br />
Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 21 years.<br />

MEAGHER, Allan D. WWII<br />
Allen was born in Brook Village, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He enlisted in the Army during World<br />
War II and served in Europe with the Lake Superior Regiment.<br />

MILLS, Clifford W. WWI<br />
Clifford was born on Prince Edward Island. He enlisted in Regina, Saskatchewan in<br />
1914 and was attached to the Field Ambulance Corps after being sent to Valcartier,<br />
Quebec. He went overseas with the 1 st Contingent and was in France until the war<br />
ended. Corporal Mills was awarded the Military Medal for gallantry and devotion<br />
to duty in saving the lives of seventeen men and getting them out in his ambulance<br />
under heavy fire. He was badly gassed while thus rescuing his comrades and was<br />
invalided to England. He was considered no longer physically fit for active service<br />
but was retained on the Hospital Staff in England.<br />

MEAGHER, Donald Francis WWII<br />
Donald was born in Brook Village, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He enlisted in the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong><br />
Navy and served during World War II.<br />
