<strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>/Nunavut <strong>Command</strong> of The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> <strong>Legion</strong><br />

COCHRANE, Terrence Moore WWI<br />

Terrence enlisted in the St. Francis Xavier Hospital unit in March, 1916 and arrived<br />

in England on June 30. After several months operating the <strong>Canadian</strong> Hospital at<br />

Bramshott, he transferred to another unit in order to get to France quickly. He<br />

became a dispatch rider after which he was accidentally killed while on duty in the<br />

summer of 1918.<br />

COURTNEY, Thomas Parker WWI<br />

Thomas was born in Dartmouth, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1889. He joined the Army and<br />

served with the <strong>Canadian</strong> Garrison Regiment on a hospital ship during World War<br />

I. Thomas passed away in 1949.<br />

COVERT, Alta Marion PEACETIME<br />

Alta was born in Digby, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1939. She joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Women’s<br />

Army Corps and served in Canada during peacetime. Alta has been a member of<br />

Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 9 years.<br />

COVERT, Murray Arlis PEACETIME<br />

Murray was born in Middleton, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1940. He joined the Reserves and<br />

served with the West <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> Regiment in Canada from 1956 to 1995. Murray<br />

has been a member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 38 years.<br />
