TAYLOR, Charles WWII<br />
Charles was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He enlisted in the Army during World<br />
War II and served in Europe with the <strong>Canadian</strong> Provost Corps. Charles was a<br />
member of Captain Angus L. Macdonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

TAYLOR, James Arthur WWII<br />
James was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He enlisted in the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Navy<br />
and served in Europe during World War II. James was a member of Captain Angus<br />
L. Macdonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

TOWNSEND, Peter PEACETIME<br />
Peter was born in 1931 in England. He joined Britain’s Navy in 1953 and served on RMS Himalaya, SS Colon, RMS<br />
Strathmore, MV Corncrake and MV <strong>Royal</strong> Daffodil. Five years later, he joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Navy where he was<br />
non-commissioned until 1969. He served on HMCS Skeena, Huron, Preserver, and Chaudière and on these bases:<br />
Naden, CFFS Halifax, HMS Mercury (UK), OIC Leadership School, Div. Cdr. Boatswain School, CFRS Cornwallis,<br />
Maritime <strong>Command</strong> HQ, CFB Halifax, NDHQ, CFRS Cornwallis, retiring in 1990 as Lieutenant <strong>Command</strong>er after<br />
serving approximately 41 years. The day he retired, he became Cadet Instructor Cadre. From 1990, he was the<br />
<strong>Command</strong>ing Officer RCSCC # 26 Cornwallis for 4 years and in 1994, became the NS Cadet Detachment <strong>Command</strong>er,<br />
Regional Cadet HQ Atlantic, finally retiring in October 2000. He now serves with the Navy League of Canada as the<br />
National Director for <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. Peter has been a member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 41 years.<br />

TIMMONS, Daniel H. PEACETIME<br />
Daniel was born in 1944 in Dominion, Cape Breton. He joined the Army in 1962 and<br />
took his basic training at Gagetown, NB. Over a period of 20 years, he served with<br />
the 1 st Battalion, Black Watch, at Gagetown, RCR London, Ontario, did 3 tours of<br />
duty in Cyprus, and also served at Petawawa, and Cornwallis. Daniel has been a<br />
member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 32 years.<br />
