SUDDS, Stanley WWII<br />

Stanley was born in Lake Ainslie, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. During World War II, he enlisted<br />

in the Army and served in Europe with the <strong>Royal</strong> Highland Regiment of Canada<br />

(Black Watch).<br />

SWALLOW, Vernon Leslie WWII<br />

Vernon was born in Falkland Ridge, Annapolis County, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> on July 29,<br />

1918. He joined the Army and served as a Sergeant with the BC Regiment, 2 nd<br />

<strong>Canadian</strong> Armoured Brigade in England, France, Belgium, Germany, and Holland.<br />

Vernon was a member of New Germany <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #102 for 16 years. He died<br />

on August 17, 1980.<br />

SWALLOW, Veronica WWII<br />

Veronica was born in Manchester, England on January 3, 1921. She joined the<br />

Auxiliary Territorial Service and served as a Lance Corporal in England during<br />

World War II. Veronica has been a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #102 in New Germany<br />

for 37 years.<br />

SWARTMAN, Carrie C. C. PEACETIME<br />

Carrie was born in 1972 in Annapolis, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. She joined the Army and was<br />

with CIL (Cadet Instructors List) (Reserves). She served for more than 5 years as<br />

an Instructor with the Cadets, namely at: Gagetown, NB; Camp Borden and<br />

Ipperwash, ON; and CFB Cornwallis. Carrie has been a member of Clementsport<br />

<strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 19 years.<br />
