<strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>/Nunavut <strong>Command</strong> of The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> <strong>Legion</strong><br />

JOUDREY, Donald William WWII<br />

Donald was born in 1928 in Pleasantfield, Queen’s County in <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined<br />

the Merchant Navy and served on the Liverpool Loyalist and the Nipiwan Park in<br />

Canada and on the high seas. Donald received the <strong>Canadian</strong> Volunteer Service Medal<br />

with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. He was a member of <strong>Legion</strong> branches #024<br />

and #038 for total of 47 years.<br />

JULIEN, Murray O. PEACETIME<br />

Murray was born in 1935 in Drummondville, Quebec. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong><br />

Navy in 1954 and took his basic training at HMCS Cornwallis before proceeding to<br />

Naden, BC for his trades course as a Naval Steward. He stayed in the trade for<br />

approximately 5 years then re-mustered to Cook, taking his course at Hochelaga. He<br />

served on HMCS Haida, Algonquin, Sioux, and Huron. He also served at the<br />

Shearwater and LaSalle, Montreal bases. Murray served for 21 years. He has been<br />

a member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 38 years.<br />

KENNEDY, Alexander “Hanny” WWII<br />

Alexander was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Air<br />

Force and served during World War II. Alexander was a member of Captain Angus<br />

L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

KENNEDY, Donald W. PEACETIME<br />

Donald was born in Tiverton, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1939. He joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Army<br />

and served in Canada and Continental Europe with the Black Watch. Donald has<br />

been a member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for one year.<br />
