KENNEDY, Dougald WWII<br />
Dougald was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Army and<br />
served with the Highlanders in Europe during World War II. Dougald was a member<br />
of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

KENNEDY, John Archie WWII<br />
John was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army during World War II<br />
and served as a Lance Corporal with the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Corps of Engineers in Italy,<br />
France, and Europe. John was a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong><br />
Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

KINNEY, Samuel Burpee WWII<br />
Samuel was born to John and Eunice (Nicholas) Kinney of Linwood, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong><br />
on July 22, 1909. He enlisted in the Army on July 9, 1940 in New Glasgow and<br />
served in Canada as a Gunner with the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Artillery and as a qualified<br />
Armament Artificer with the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.<br />
After serving in York, Halifax, and Barriefield, Ontario, Staff Sergeant Kinney was<br />
discharged on December 12, 1946. He then worked in the Civil Service in<br />
Dartmouth and lived in Bedford with his wife, Vera DeWolfe, and their four children.<br />
Samuel died in 1994 and is buried in Bedford.<br />

and served with the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Corps of Engineers in Italy, France, and<br />
Europe. Neil was a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132<br />
in Inverness.<br />
