DEAGLE, Vincent P. WWII<br />

Vincent was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army during World War<br />

II and served in Europe with the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Armoured Corps. Vincent was a<br />

member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

DEVEAUX, Johnny WWII<br />

Johnny was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army and served in<br />

Europe during World War II. Johnny was a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald<br />

<strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

DeWOLFE, James Cyril WWII<br />

James, son of Remi DeWolfe, was born in Merland, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. In 1940, he enlisted with the<br />

<strong>Canadian</strong> Army in Mulgrave and served with the North <strong>Nova</strong>’s. Later, he transferred to the Pictou<br />

Highlanders and served in the United Kingdom, the North Atlantic, the Mediterranean area and<br />

Continental Europe. He was awarded the <strong>Canadian</strong> Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the 1939-<br />

45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Italy Star, and the Defence Medal. James fought in the<br />

Italy/Sicily Campaign and was wounded in Italy. Private DeWolfe later served in France and<br />

Germany before being discharged in 1945. He returned home and married Harriet Pettipas and<br />

they settled in Linwood where he still lives. James worked for the C.N.R. until he retired.<br />

Louis was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army and served with the<br />

West <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> Regiment in Europe during World War II. Louis was a member<br />

of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />
