<strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>/Nunavut <strong>Command</strong> of The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> <strong>Legion</strong><br />

LITTLE, Guy Hartford WWI<br />

Guy was born in Margaretsville, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1898. He enlisted in the Army on February<br />

5, 1916 in Middleton, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> at the age of 17 and served as a Private with the 112 th<br />

Overseas Battalion, <strong>Canadian</strong> Expeditionary Force. He arrived in England on July 31, 1916<br />

and transferred to the 2 nd <strong>Canadian</strong> Division, 5 th <strong>Canadian</strong> Infantry Brigade, 25 th Battalion<br />

(<strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> Rifles) on October 10, 1916. He arrived in France on October 11, 1916 and in<br />

April 1917, was buried alive, all but one arm, at Vimy Ridge. He was dug out by Private Jake<br />

Hall from Auburn, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He was wounded a second time at Passchendaele on July 3,<br />

1917. He returned to Canada on November 29, 1918 and was discharged in Halifax on January<br />

2, 1919. Guy was a Life Member of Middleton <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #001. He died in 1986.<br />

LITTLEFAIR, John M. PEACETIME<br />

John was born in 1935 in Toronto, Ontario. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Navy in<br />

1954 and took his basic officers training at Venture. He then served on the following<br />

HMCS ships and bases: Ontario, Magnificent, Athabaskan, Iroquois, Micmac,<br />

Victoriaville, Protecteur, CDLS London, England, <strong>Royal</strong> Naval Engineering<br />

College, in Plymouth, England, <strong>Royal</strong> Naval College in Greenwood, England,<br />

NDHQ, Halifax area, and Esquimalt, BC. John has been a member of Clementsport<br />

<strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 4 years.<br />

LLOYD, Robert “Bob” WWII<br />

Bob was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army and served in Europe<br />

with the Carleton and York Regiment during World War II.<br />

LONG, Gerald P. “Bibs” PEACETIME<br />

Bibs was born in Clementsvale, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1931. He joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Army<br />

and served with the 8 th <strong>Canadian</strong> Hussars (PL) in Northwest Europe, Cyprus, and<br />

Canada. Bibs has been a member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 34 years.<br />
