LEFURGEY, Marlene PEACETIME<br />
Marlene was born in 1932 in Romney, Ontario. She joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Air<br />
Force in 1952 and took her basic training at St. Jean, Quebec. She then went to<br />
Aylmer as a Pay Accounts Clerk and finished up her 1 1/2 years at Clinton, Ontario.<br />
Marlene has been a member of Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 7 years.<br />

LEGER, Jerome Peter PEACETIME<br />
Jerome was born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1939. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Air<br />
Force in 1956 and took his basic training in Kingston, Ontario. He served for 38<br />
years and 4 months at Kingston, as well as in Africa’s Congo, and in Germany,<br />
Valcartier, Quebec, and Rivers, Manitoba. Jerome has been a member of<br />
Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 20 years.<br />

LEMAL, Marcel WWII<br />
Marcel was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Army and<br />
served with the Highlanders in Europe during World War II. Marcel is a Life member<br />
of Captain Angus L. MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

LEIGHTON, Thomas Elmer WWII<br />
Thomas was born in Wentworth, Hants County, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1919. He joined<br />
the Army and served with the 3 rd Medium Artillery, 87 th Battery, in Canada,<br />
England and Europe.<br />
