<strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>/Nunavut <strong>Command</strong> of The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> <strong>Legion</strong><br />

MOODY, Harold Samuel WWII<br />

Harold was born in 1919 in Ebbw Vale, South Wales. He joined the Navy and<br />

sailed on the high seas on the following ships: HMCS Skeena, Assiniboine, Prince<br />

Henry, Stettler, and New Waterford. He served on the North Atlantic, Aleutian<br />

Islands, Caribbean, and in the Mediterranean under constant threat of surface and<br />

U-boat attacks. Harold has been a member of Mercy <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #038 in<br />

Liverpool for 49 years.<br />

MOORE, Douglas Harold PEACETIME<br />

Douglas was born in 1939 in Wiarton, Ontario. He joined the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Navy<br />

and served from 1957 to 1985 ashore at Shearwater, Windsor Park, and Stadacona<br />

and also on high seas on: HMCS La Hulloise, Sioux, Terra <strong>Nova</strong>, Chaudière, Fundy,<br />

Protecteur, Provider, Saskatchewan, Saguenay, Skeena, and Huron. Douglas<br />

survived the HMCS Courtney fire where he was on board as a member of Squadron<br />

Staff. He also served one year with the Standing Naval Forces Atlantic, on staff in<br />

HMCS Huron, Algonquin and Athabaskan. Douglas has been a member of<br />

Clementsport <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #122 for 16 years.<br />

MOSHER, Weldon Cameron SPECIALTY DUTY AREA<br />

Weldon was born in Musquodoboit Harbour, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1931. He joined the<br />

<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Canadian</strong> Air Force and served in Canada with Squadrons 405, 419, and 433.<br />

He was awarded the <strong>Canadian</strong> Forces Decoration. Weldon was a member of Gaetz<br />

Brook <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #161 for 44 years.<br />

MOORE, Jason SPECIAL DUTY AREA & PEACETIME<br />

Jason was born in Sydney, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong> in 1974. He joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Army and<br />

served as a Corporal with the Military Police in Afghanistan. Jason was awarded<br />

the Campaign Medal.<br />
