MacPHEE, John Neil WWII<br />
John was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army and served with the<br />
1 st <strong>Canadian</strong> Armoured Brigade in Europe during World War II. John was a member<br />
of Captain Angus L. Macdonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />

MacPHEE, Neil WWII<br />
Neil was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the Army during World War II<br />
and served in Italy and Europe with the Cape Breton Highlanders. Neil was killed<br />
in action on May 28, 1944 in Ceprano, Italy.<br />

MANNING, Benjamin Harold WWII<br />
Benjamin was born in Epworth, Newfoundland in 1920. He joined the Army and<br />
served with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiments in Canada, Italy, France,<br />
Belgium, Holland, and Germany during World War II. He awarded the France and<br />
Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the Defence Medal, the <strong>Canadian</strong><br />
Volunteer Service Medal, and the War Medal 1939-45. Benjamin was a member of<br />
Whitney Pier <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #128 for fifteen years. He died in 1992.<br />
Submitted independently.<br />
MacQUARRIE, Murdock C. WWI<br />
Murdock was born in Inverness, <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>. He joined the <strong>Canadian</strong> Army and<br />
served in France during World War I. Murdock was a member of Captain Angus L.<br />
MacDonald <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #132 in Inverness.<br />
