Negative weight or calibration error. • Mail is too heavy for selected class, OR • Mail is too light for selected class. 1. Select desired graphic. 2. Push the Menu key. 3. Select Meter Stamp Options. 4. Select Advertisements. 5. Change the Normal Preset Timeout. See Chapter 5, Mailing System Setup for more information. Select a new class. Press Start to continue. WOW scale not at zero weight. Press the Menu key and select Zero Scale. If not resolved, call for service. Invalid weight. Weight is invalid for selected class. Select a new class. Press Start to continue. Unstable weight. Scale cannot define weight. Be sure system is steady. Make sure there is not air movement over and around the system. WOW won’t display zero. Printing Problems Description Possible Causes Solution Digital indicia does not print. Digital indicia imprint is out of alignment. The Postage Mode is set to Seal Only. Postal Inspection is required. Your mailing system performs an automatic postal inspection every time you do a refill. If you have not done a refill in the last 120 days, you will not be able to print postage. Your postal rate or special service requires a Code or Zone. Envelope is skewing on the feed deck. DM1100 Digital Mailing System Operating Guide From the IntelliLink® Control Centre, press the Mode key and select the appropriate postage mode option displayed on the screen. Refer to the Selecting the Postage Mode section in Chapter 4 in this guide. Add postage. If you do not need to add postage at this time, simply connect to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre and check for updates. The system will automatically perform a meter inspection. Enter the Code or Zone. Refer to the Entering Codes and Zones section in Chapter 4 in this guide. • Check for objects in the mail path. • Adjust the thickness adjustment knob to correspond to the envelope thickness. For thicker pieces of mail (3/8” to 5/8”), or mail containing several inserts, use the thick mail setting. For mail containing only single inserts, or for postcards, use the normal mail setting.
