Organization of the Study<br />

Chapter I was an introduction to the study. A statement of the problem, the significance<br />

of the problem, the purpose of the study, the research questions, the definitions of operational<br />

terms, the limitations faced in the research, and the delimitations imposed in the study were<br />

included in the chapter.<br />

Chapter II contains a review of literature in the research area, which will include a<br />

historical overview of the nature of legal relations between school systems and employees and<br />

the development of the position of school administrator. Moreover, special consideration will be<br />

given to studying historic and recent developments in contractual law that have shaped and will<br />

shape current and future litigation among school systems and administrators.<br />

Chapter III describes the methodology and procedures utilized in the study. A thorough<br />

understanding of case research utilizing printed and electronic resources is outlined.<br />

Chapter IV includes the case briefs and case analysis.<br />

Chapter V contains the summary, conclusions, and recommendations for further study,<br />

any pertinent tables and graphs, and guidelines for school administrators.<br />
