Regarding the assessment of the degree of knowledge of the Brazilian standards, through the identification of correct statements, the result showed that the degree of knowledge is low. None of the

Conclusions The data analysis shows that the degree of knowledge is low, but the interest is high. It is recommended to repeat the survey covering a larger sample, given that the data preliminaries are signaling a strong demand for information on the topic in class and the consequent necessary adequacy of the curricula of schools of veterinary medicine in order to prepare professionals for this new labor market that appears.
