Configuring the Distributed I/O (DP) DP Slave Does Not Appear in the "Hardware Catalog" Window If a DP slave does not appear in the "Hardware Catalog" window, you must install the corresponding *.GSD file after the start of STEP 7 using the menu command Options > Install GSD File. The dialog boxes then guide you through the process of installing the *.GSD file. The installed DP slave then appears in the "Hardware Catalog" window under "PROFIBUS-DP - Other Field Devices."
