KRATKA POVIJEST KORPORATIVNIH SKANDALA
sustava postoje dobre i loše, moralno ispravne i moralno neispravne odluke
postaje nužnim dijelom rasprave o bioetici, politici i ekonomiji.
A SHORT HISTORY OR CORPORATIVE SCANDALS
(AND WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM IT)
The aim of this paper is to summarize, through a review of the most
important corporative scandals (for business ethics), the consequences that
arise in the unethical or ethically questionable business practices and, ultimately,
to point to the moral decisions that are hiding in their background.
The authors argue that while it is possible to challenge the theoretical foundations
of modern economics and its moral (or liberal) content in general,
it is difficult to argue that, within the existing economic system, there are
good and bad, morally correct and morally incorrect decisions, or at least
practices that are better or worse than others.
This will be appropriately substantiated with cases from corporate history,
which clearly delineate the boundaries between (certain levels of) care
and total lack of concern for consumers/people/society/other living organisms/the
environment. If we identify the actual impact of contemporary
companies, the theme in the title becomes an essential part of the debate on
bioethics, politics and economics.
