BIOETIKA I POLITIKA
općeg dobra, a naročito u samopoimanju političara.
i praktična pozicija, odnosno stav.
BIOETHICS AND POLITICS
Since the times of ancient Greece politics is treated as an action on
behalf of the common good, especially in the self-perception of politicians.
However – as Niccolò Machiavelli discovered – politics, for centuries, has
been a part of the ancient unity of ethics and morality in the field of public
policy, and the various individual or egoistic interests influenced the
lack of ethics and morals. The concept of integrative bioethics includes,
among other things, politics, and above all in a critical sense, i.e. as a critical
attitude toward it, especially the politics that in any way endangers
life. However, not as an ethical (and certainly not as moralistic) critique
of politics, but as a meta-political intellectual and practical position and
attitude. Meta-politics is otherwise defined here as a changed politics, as a
radical politics shift which acts against the enemy (C. Schmitt) to the one
that tolerates difference. From the perspective of meta-politics, a special
importance is given to the meta-political character of integrative bioethics
to form a regional ethics of life in the Balkans.
