Summary: While the dwarves try to find fairy dust in the Storybrooke mines,
Belle gives Gold an ultimatum. Meanwhile, in the fairytale world Rumplestiltskin
goes after a band of pirates that have abducted his beloved.
At the pawnshop, Gold shows Belle a
necklace and puts it on her. When she
wonders what the occasion is, he says
that he’d like to take her out to see Storybrooke.
She thanks him for how he’s
changing. Leroy comes in and demands
his axe, saying nothing in the shop belongs
to Gold, and asks how Belle can be
there with a monster. Gold grabs Leroy
and slams him back, briefly transforming
into his Rumplestiltskin form...
And Belle wakes up from her nightmare.
She goes to the cellar windows and
He then cuts off a piece and puts it in
a beaker, and watches as it reacts with the liquid inside.
Rumplestiltskin comes home and discovers that his wife Milah is gone. He takes Bae to the
tavern to find his wife and she’s drinking with some sailors and gambling. Milah dismisses
Rumplestiltskin as a coward during the Ogre Wars and tells him to go, but Bae comes in and
calls to her mother. She gets him and goes home, putting her son to bed. When Rumplestiltskin
asks if she wishes he had died in the Ogre Wars, Milah says that she wants to leave and that
they have no life there with him as the village coward. He asks her to try, for Bae’s sake if not his
own, and she says that she’ll try.
The next morning, Gold comes in and finds Belle waiting for him. She asks why he’s practicing
magic and he says that it’s just a few simple spells. Belle asks why he brought magic to
Storybrooke and why he needs it, but he refuses and she tells him that he needs courage.
A neighbor comes to see Rumplestiltskin and tells him that men have captured Milah and
taken her to the docks. He goes there and boards the ship but stumbles in front of the captain.
The captain’s men pull Rumplestiltskin up and he remembers the captain from the bar. The sailor
