Once Upon A Time Episode Guide
warrior woman to cut down the beanstalk in ten hours and take Mary Margaret away. Mulan
warns that Mary Margaret won’t like it but Emma says that it’s necessary. She then goes back to
Hook, who puts the bracer on her and then asks for his hook. They give it to him so he can make
the climb and they begin their ascent. As they climb, Hook flirts with Emma but she remains
silent. He tells her that it’s pointless because she’s an open book, and he accurately determines
that she needs to get back to Henry so that he won’t feel abandoned the way that she was. Hook
explains that he’s seen the same look in other abandoned children from his time in Neverland.
When he wonders if she’s ever been in love, Emma denies it.
Neal and Emma, the latter made up to appear pregnant, go to a convenience store. Emma
steals food while Neal distracts the cashier.
As he talks to the man, Neal takes a keychain with a compass on it from the rack. A customer
comes in and sees Neal shoplifting some food, and tries to warn the cashier. Emma fakes going
into labor to distract the man long enough so that she and Neal can escape.
They drive to a motel and move into a room after the family leaves, putting a do not disturb
sign up so housekeeping won’t come in.
as they look around, Emma notices that the family left a Native American dreamcatcher behind.
Neal says that he wants to settle down and get a real home for the two of them together.
Emma wonders where he has in mind and Neal invites her to pick somewhere on a map at random.
She points to Tallahassee, FL, and wonders if Neal really wants a home. He says that what
he wants is her and the couple kisses.
Mulan creates a crude sun clock so she can tell when ten hours have passed. Meanwhile,
Aurora offers to help Mary Margaret on the first watch. When Mary Margaret points out that
Aurora hasn’t gotten any rest, the princess explains that since Phillip woke her up from the
sleeping curse, she hasn’t been able to sleep because she has nightmares. Mary Margaret says
that she was under the same curse and had the same nightmares afterward, and that David
would help her by lighting a candle and watching out for her. She offers to watch over Aurora
and the princess settles down for some sleep.
Hook and Emma climb to the top and find themselves in the ruins of a castle. Hook tells
Emma that humans and giants fought their final battle there. He notices that Emma has cut her
hand and warps it, warning her that giants can spell blood. When Hook suggests that they wait
for the giant to fall asleep, Emma says that they don’t have that much time and tells the captain
about the poppy seeds. As they work out a plan, Emma notices that Hook has a tattoo on his
arm with the name Milah, and asks who it is. Hook says that it’s a name from a long time ago
and Emma realizes that Milah is the woman that Rumplestiltskin took away from him. The rogue
congratulates her on her perceptions given she’s never been in love, and Emma concedes that
she might once have been in love.
As they prepare to leave town, Neal shows Emma post of himself that he found in the post
office. He explains that in Phoenix he was a janitor working at a jewelry store and stole some
watches. The owner was too drunk to notice but they were able to identify Neal from the surveillance
cameras. Neal hid the watches at a train station locker but couldn’t go back for them. Now
he tells Emma that he has to go to Canada and can’t take her with him. Emma suggests that she
get the watches and they fence them for enough money to buy IDs and get over the border. Neal
considers the idea and agrees.
Emma hides atop a statue halfway up the door to the cave while Hook makes noise to lure
the giant out. When he comes out, Emma and Hook realize that the giant is much taller than the
statue. Hook runs out, luring the giant to kneel down, and Emma hits him with the poppy seeds.
The giant passes out and Hook congratulates Emma, saying that they make a good team.
As Aurora sleeps, she has a nightmare. Mary Margaret shakes her away and gets her to talk
about what she experienced so that she can cope with it. Aurora describes a nightmare of a
red room with no doors or windows, with curtains on fire and someone looking at her from the
shadows. Mary Margaret tells her that the nightmare will fade and sits down with Aurora to keep
watch over her.
Hook and Emma find the giant’s treasure chamber and Emma has to drag him away from the
other treasures and help her find the compass. She warns him that they have no idea how long
the sleeping potion lasts and Hook goes to help her.
Emma enters the train station and goes to Neal’s locker. Once she has the watches, she strolls
out past the unsuspecting guards.
