As the others go off, Emma talks to Hook privately and asks if David was telling the truth. Hook
says that he wouldn’t let her father die no matter what and suggests that she give him a proper
thanks. Emma warns that he couldn’t handle it, but Hook persists and she finally gives him a
passionate kiss. After a long moment, Emma steps away and warns Hook that it’s a one-time
thing, and then walks away.
After they give Liam a burial at sea, Killian takes his brother’s satchel and tells the crew that
the king sent them to on a dishonorable mission to get a poison, the poison that killed Liam.
Killian vows that no one will sail to Neverland again and burns the Pegasus sail, and announces
that he will no longer fight on behalf of a dishonorable king. He tells the crew that those who
stay with him will fly under a crimson flag as pirates, and the others can either leave or walk the
plank. Killian throws his officer’s jacket into the ocean and says that at least as thieves they will
have honor, and the crew rally to him, chanting his name.
Hook is off drinking on his own when Pan confronts him and warns that he should have
accepted his deal. The pirate says that he didn’t need Pan’s help to get Emma, and that she now
sees him as a man of honor. Pan disagrees, and tests Hook’s resolve by telling him that Neal is
still alive. He invites Hook to tell Emma the truth, even though it will cost him any chance of her
love when she is reunited with Neal. Satisfied, Pan walks off and finds Felix and the others. They
have drugged Neal unconscious, and Pan tells him to hang up their prisoner’s cage next to their
other prisoner.
