Once Upon A Time Episode Guide
assures him that it’s a free favor... but hopes that as family, they’ll be glad to help him someday.
Once he leaves, David drinks the elixir and realizes that he’s confirmed. Mary Margaret wonders
what he’s thinking and her husband suggests that they start having the second baby that they
talked about in Neverland. His wife is more concerned about Emma, noticing Neal sitting alone
because Emma never came. David says that he know what to do and leaves.
David finds Emma on the docks and assures her that Neal didn’t send him. She insists that
she’s worried about her son, who is acting differently, but David points out that Regina spent
ten years raising the boy and comforting him. David tells Emma to focus on the good moments
in life and take advantage of them when she finds them, but Emma says that she’s not sure that
she’s ready to do so.
Her father tells her that it’s a good time to try, but Emma wonders if he’s trying to keep her
away from Hook by setting her up with Neal.
At the diner, Hook is going to the restroom when he bumps into Tinker Bell in the hallway.
He offers her a drink but she figures that he is just using her for rebound sex to take his mind
off of Emma. Before Hook can answer, they hear a woman’s scream and run outside. David and
Emma are just walking up and Emma sees Hook and Tinker Bell together. She wonders if they
were involved and Hook lies, claiming they were to make her jealous. They hear the scream again
and follow it, and see the Shadow kill the Mother Superior.
It flies away and they confirm that she’s dead, and Hook points out that Pan is the only one
who can order the Shadow.
Pan is reading Henry’s storybook when Regina comes in and tells him that something has
happened.
As Snow and Charming explore the vault, they hear Medusa ahead and Charming tells his
wife to decapitate it when he draws it out. He runs ahead and calls to the creature, which follows
him. However, when Snow tries to decapitate it, her blade shatters on its metal scales. Charming
doubles back and tosses a helmet down the hallway to draw Medusa’s attention, but the creature
grabs Snow and drags it toward her. When Charming throws a discarded shield at it, Medusa
knocks it outside, grabs him, and transforms him into stone as Snow looks on in horror.
Regina and Pan arrive and Neal goes to the Jolly Roger to get the candle so they can reimprison
the Shadow. Pan asks Regina if she’ll protect him, and Emma notices the conversation. Once
she’s alone with Regina, she tells him that ”Henry” is acting suspiciously and advises her to keep
an eye on their son. Regina takes her warning as jealousy and tells her to use her gut feeling to
find the Shadow instead of worrying if she’s the better mother. As the others begin their hunt
for the Shadow, Regina takes Pan to her vault in the cemetery and assures him that it’s the one
place that he’ll be safe from any harm.
Regina calls to Snow, her image appearing in the discarded shield’s surface, and says that
Snow will have to do better than that.
She mocks Snow, pointing out that all she had to do was let Snow’s own paranoia destroy her
and Charming. Realizing that Regina is right, Snow grabs the shield and holds it up. Medusa
attacks her and sees her own reflection, and is herself transformed to stone.
The curse is broken and Charming is restored to life. Snow kisses him and explains that she
let Medusa defeat herself, and apologizes for focusing on Regina instead of him.
Emma, David, and Mary Margaret go to the pawnshop and tell Gold and Belle what happened.
They explain that they want Pandora’s Box so they can free Pan and put an end to his thread,
and Gold wonders what she has in mind.
A short time later, the group drives to the edge of town. Emma figures that if they release Pan
on the other side of the border then he’ll be powerless and she can kill him once and for all. Gold
is reluctant to let her handle it, but Emma points out that she’s had more experience in the real
world. He agrees to the plan and releases the prisoner, and ”Pan” finds himself standing in the
real world. Henry tells Emma who he really is, but she doesn’t believe him. She demands proof
and Henry says several things that only he would know, but the others insist that Pan could
have learned them through magic. Emma disagrees, saying that life is just as much moments as
facts, and asks Henry when they first connected. When he answers correctly, she hugs her son
and they bring back over into Storybrooke. As they head back to town, David wonders where Pan
in Henry’s body is.
In the vault, Pan tells Regina how lucky he is to have her protecting him, and she promises to
be the mother that he always wanted her to be. Regina hugs Pan, who grabs a vial from a shelf
