Once Upon A Time Episode Guide
they’re all dead.
Regina returns Henry to the adoption agency and the agent assures her that the baby will
be in good hands with his next family. He congratulates Regina on the strength she’s showing
by giving up the child when it’s the best thing for him, and leaves them alone while he goes to
prepare the paperwork. Regina tells Henry that he deserves better than her, and that he’s the
only one who believes in her. She picks the baby up and holds it. When the agent comes back in,
Regina tells him that Henry will be staying with a mother who will never let him go again. As she
leaves, the agent goes to tell the new family that the adoption fell through. The two men, James
and Michael Darling, realize that they’ve failed to carry out Pan’s orders.
Pan tells the three women that he abandoned his son at the Thinking Tree years ago, and
Emma figures that he regrets it. He says that Gold is his son and that he has no regrets, and
Regina figures that his magic is too weak to hurt them. Pan admits that it’s true but that the
Thinking Tree will protect him long enough to absorb the power from Henry’s heart. The Tree
feeds on regrets, including all the regrets that Emma has had about failing Henry repeatedly.
Pan offers Regina the chance to confess all of her regrets before she dies, but she tells him that
she’s killed and murdered, all for Henry... and she has no regrets. Regina frees herself and rips
Henry’s heart out of Pan’s chest, leaving him collapsed on the ground. When Pan tries to reach
Pandora’s Box, Regina picks it up and tells the others that it’s time to save Henry.
The trio go to the Jolly Roger and Regina returns Henry’s heart to its rightful owner. When he
revives, Emma hugs him and the boy apologizes for doing what he did. He wanted to be the hero
for once, and the others assure him that it’s all right. Hook offers Henry the captain’s quarters
to recuperate.
Archie meets with Regina again and tells her that he’s glad things worked out. However,
Regina is worried that Henry’s birth mother will come to Storybrooke one day and take her son
back. She wonders if Fate will bring them together despite her efforts, and Archie tells her to
enjoy being a mother.
Later, Regina comes up with a solution and takes Henry to the mausoleum. After paying her
respects to her father, Regina enters her secret lab. As she prepares a potion, she tells Henry that
she’s created a potion that will take away all of her worries about their future together so that
they can be together happily ever after. She drinks the potion and then turns to Henry, relieved.
Regina visits Henry in Hook’s quarters and casts a spell to keep his heart from being removed
again. Henry thanks her for everything and Regina promises that they’ll soon be back in Storybrooke.
Once she goes topside, Pan steps out of the shadows and tells Henry that he’s sorry that
it had to come to this.
Up on deck, Neal releases Gold from Pandora’s Box and they embrace. Neal assures his father
that Henry is safe, and wonders why Gold didn’t tell him that Pan was his father. Gold tells him
that he didn’t want Neal to think that Milton was a bad father the same way that Gold was to
Neal, and Neal assures him that he isn’t. With Gold back, Emma is relieved that they can cure
David when they return to Storybrooke and shares a hug with her parents. As they hug, Gold
sniffs the air, sensing something is wrong.
Pan tries to take Henry’s heart again but realizes that he can’t get past Regina’s spell. He then
grasps Henry’s shadow and tries to pull it from her body. However, Gold arrives with Pandora’s
Box and uses it to capture Pan. Regina goes to her son and confirms that he’s okay, and Gold
assures her that Henry will be fine and that she raised him well.
Later, Neal fires the coconut containing Pan’s Shadow into the sky. Regina casts a spell to
bind it to the sails of the Jolly Roger, and Hook flies it into the sky and back toward Storybrooke.
David tells his daughter that she was right about how they all needed to work together, but that
it wouldn’t have worked if Emma wasn’t their leader.
Tinker Bell visits Wendy, who is standing alone on the deck, and tells the girl that she will soon
see her brothers James and Michael. Wendy gives tinker Bell a vial of pixie dust and explains
that it’s all that remains. When the former fairy says that she can’t get it to work because she’s
lost her magic, Wendy says that there’s still a chance because she believes in Tinker Bell.
Henry comes out on deck and tells his father that he’s feeling better. Neal tells his son that he
has a dad now and forever, and that he’ll never leave him again.
Tinker Bell approaches Regina and says that she’s surprised to discover that Regina can love
someone after all. The pixie dust in the vial glows for a moment, and Regina says that it worked
because for just a second, Tinker Bell believed again.
