and what the siren is offering. She congratulates him on being the first to resist her and then
pulls him under. James manages to pull free and she gestures to him, but he sees the skeletons
of her other victims at the bottom of the lake. He swims to the surface but the vines animate and
pull him back. As the siren swims to him, he sees a discarded knife, grabs it, and stabs her. The
once. Kathryn says that what Mary Margaret and David have is real, and what she had with David
hugs a shocked Regina and admits that she’s always had a fear of leaving Storybrooke. Regina
tells her that change is always frightening but leaving town may let her find what she’s looking
for.
transforms back to normal. Frederick collapses to the ground and Abigail kisses him, assuring
him that he’s free. She introduces him to James, who says that they can thank him by marrying.
He assures them that he’s going to find Snow, and that true love can never be replaced. As he
leaves, Abigail tells him to make haste because King George will come after him and stop at
nothing to destroy his happiness.
Regina goes to David and Kathryn’s house, finds Kathryn’s letter, and takes it with her.
