disappearance, while in the fairytale world, Red Riding Hood and her
go with them but Granny insists that she stay and wear red, because red frightens wolf. Granny
insists that the hunters are on a fool’s quest and insults Peter as a wastrel, and then has Red
help her seal the house against any intruder.
Ruby complains that Granny humiliated her, and Granny wants her to work on Saturdays
to train in paperwork. When Ruby complains, Granny points out that there are plenty of other
things she does, but Ruby wants to go out and see the world. She finally tells Granny that she’s
quitting and storms out the door.
The next morning, Red checks on Granny to make sure that she’s okay. She starts to go out
