Once Upon A Time Episode Guide
and Pan warns them that dreamshade is a deadly poison. He suggests that the king wants to
use the poison to wipe out his enemies but Liam refuses to believe it. Killian has his doubts but
his older brother tells him not to be so gullible and they set out to find the plant.
Hook climbs to the top of the peak and turns back to look at David far below. Before he can
drop the vine rope, Pan appears and says that he wants to talk to him, alone. He suggests that
Hook work for him in return for passage out of Neverland, and lets him take Emma with him to
sweeten the deal. Hook doesn’t believe that Emma would abandon her son, but Pan points out
that she did so once before. The pirate wonders what Pan wants him to do and the boy says that
he needs him to do his dirty work... and prove his sincerity by killing David, even though he is
dying anyway. If Hook refuses, Pan says the same thing will happen to him as last time. David
climbs over the edge and Pan quickly slips away. David wonders who Hook was talking to but
the pirate says that he was talking to himself and leads him off to find the dreamshade.
Liam and Killian climb Deadman’s Peak and find the dreamshade vines. Killian is still worried
about what Pan said, but Liam insists that their king is an honorable man. When his younger
brother isn’t convinced, Liam demonstrates by taking one of the vines and scratching himself
with it to show that it’s harmless. After a few moments, Liam collapses, black veins spreading up
his arm.
Devin tells Emma that Henry is more vicious than any other Lost Boy, and still refuses to help
them. Regina steps forward, ready to take his heart and force him to obey her. Mary Margaret
objects, saying that they do things that way, and turns to Emma for support.
Emma says that they have to do whatever it takes and holds her mother back, while Regina
takes Devin’s heart. Once she’s done, Emma apologizes to Mary Margaret, who insists that they
can’t cross the line between their family and Regina. Regina takes control of Devin and gives him
one mirrored half of her compact, and tells the others that they can use it to see Henry.
David and Hook find the dreamshade vines and David hold his sword to Hook’s neck. He
says that he overheard him talking with Pan and knows the pirate didn’t refuse Pan’s offer. Hook
admits that he set the whole thing up and dropped the insignia where David would find it, so
that he could convince him to climb the peak in the hopes of helping Henry. The pirate insists
that they can save David’s life but David, unbelieving, tries to attack him only to collapse.
As Killian goes to his brother’s side, Pan appears and the young officer begs him to save
Liam’s life. Pan gestures, revealing a spring behind the vines, and explains that the waters keep
Neverland eternally young. A single drink of the waters can cure nay kill, but Pan warns that
all magic comes with a price. Killian agrees to pay whatever Pan demands, gets the water, and
forces Liam to drink it. The older brother instantly recovers and Killian tells Pan that he’ll pay
the price, only to discover that he’s gone.
At Pan’s camp, Henry is trying to draw a picture of his house in the dirt but is increasingly
unable to remember it. Devin comes over and tells Henry that he’s there to deliver a message. He
gives Henry the mirror and Regina and the others contact the boy through it. Henry figures that
it’s a trick but when Emma talks about their rescue operation, Henry realizes that they are real.
The women say that they’re on their way to rescue him, but Henry is forced to throw away the
mirror when Pan returns to the camp.
As the ship flies back to its home port, Liam assures Killian that he’s feeling fine. He apologizes
for not listening to him, and vows to reveal the king’s cowardice to everyone. As he notes that
fighting with poison is bad form, the ship touches down and Liam collapse. Killian runs to his
side but realizes that it’s too late and Liam has died from the poison.
Hook cuts through the vines to the spring and takes the water to David. He prepares to give
it to him but warns that if he drinks then the cure will only last as long as David remains in
Neverland. David figures that it’s a small price to pay if he can save Henry and get his family
home, and drinks the waters. He wonders why Hook risked his life for no apparent gain, and
Hook tells him that he didn’t do it for him.
As the women return to the camp, Regina wonders what they’ve accomplished. Emma insists
that Henry is a survivor and now that he knows that he has something to survive for, he can
resist Pan. Mary Margaret apologizes to Emma for doubting her, and admits that she knows how
easy it is to cross the line between good and evil. Regina, unimpressed, says that she’s there
to do the things that she can’t. David and Hook show up and David immediately sweeps Mary
Margaret up and kisses her. Hook lies and tells the others that Pan got the sextant before they
could recover it. David tells the group that Hook saved his life, stopping a Lost Boy from shooting
